Hey Y’all! Glad you stopped by!
We are Paige and Joy Barry–sisters who love sharing life and serving the Lord together. And lest you think we are something important, we are simply desperate, wretched sinners whom God chose to save for His glory and purposes alone. He has blessed us so richly and abundantly with His grace and the best family ever. We both came to know the Lord in our teenage years and it has been a journey ever since as we continue to learn more of who God is and why He desires a close relationship with us. We are finding Him to be more than enough for us–our dearest Friend, and all-wise, loving Heavenly Father! As a result, we wanted to encourage other girls and young women to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. It’s our desire to encourage you all to build your lives around His will and for His glory–to live for the applause of nail-scarred hands alone. This is our heart for publishing the magazine “In Pursuit of Jesus,” and it’s our desire that the website and blog will be a space where we can strengthen and spur each other on in the race of life! We would love to hear from you, so feel free to contact us with whatever is on your heart. We pray that everything you read on these pages glorifies our faithful Heavenly Father and draws you closer to Himself! “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face for evermore.” Psalm 105:4

Just a little glimpse into who we are…
Joy Barry

Passion and zest for life are what come to mind when I think of Joy! She is full of energy and lives up to her name by spreading joy wherever she goes. She has much passion and drive, and it’s so beautiful to see her use it for God’s glory. Whether trying a new recipe, encouraging a friend on the phone, scrubbing the bathroom, helping a sibling, or tackling a new project, Joy is our “energy giver,” spreading life and zeal wherever she goes. Wholeheartedly would describe her well–she pours her whole heart into serving others and “is all there” in whatever she is doing. She loves Jesus Christ with all her heart and it’s become one of her greatest desires to love, adore, and serve Him with every breath He gives her. She has a heart and passion to share the reality of a relationship with Jesus and the fullness of the gospel with other girls. The magazine and website was actually a desire God laid on her heart and it’s been amazing to see how God has brought it to reality. She is our chief writer in every magazine issue and the main blogger as well. Outside of the magazine, she is a part-time CPA assistant and piano teacher, and she enjoys studying nutrition/health, playing piano, gardening, and anything outdoors. To sum up Paige’s life is really inexhaustible but to keep it simple, I think three things could define her life–Jesus Christ, her family and friends, and adventure! Her #1 goal in life is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and to fully love, adore, and serve her Lord and Savior all her days! Her greatest delight is spending time alone with Him each morning and evening. Next to her relationship with Jesus Christ is her family. She finds great delight pouring herself out for them in so many ways and enjoys finding creative ways to bless and encourage them (like spending a couple hours each week fixing the BEST sourdough bread, dinner rolls, bagels, etc). She also loves blessing her church family and friends in many ways. This girl packs her days full but is always willing to stop work or a project to help someone else in some capacity. Last but not least, Paige LOVES adventure!! Whatever the project/task at hand, she is always bound to find adventure somehow or spice up the usual in some creative way! She has a heart of discipling and encouraging young women to find Jesus their All-in-All, so needless to say, this magazine is just as much a result of her heart and work as it is mine.
